I can't stop producing goodies now that I have my Excalibur dehydrator!

I have Alissa's pakoras in right now and the smell wafting out is wonderful - warm and slightly spicy.

I'm putting in Alissa's easy crust pizza overnight and I know I will wake up to more good aromas from the tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, etc.

I'd love to make the famous onion bread but I've heard that my whole house would smell which may be a bit much for the DH to take!

What favourite un-cooking smells do other people have?

I dunno about favorite ... but I just got my dehydrator TODAY so I quickly filled up ALL NINE TRAYS with bananas, summer squash, apples, kale chips and flax crackers ... hmmmm ... a VERY odd smell is coming from my pantry - LOL! But my favorite smell today was fresh ginger ... mmmmm.

mm onion bread smells like caramelized onions 'baking'. yum.

i like the smell of fresh salsa with lots of cilantro and also cinnamon-y buckwheat crispies in the dehydrator.

I have had the onion bread in my dehydrator for 12 hours. I just flipped it and it as 12 more to go. Initially it was very strong (but I like the smell of onions). And today the smell is absolutly out of this world!!! I cant wait until dinner tomorrow night! :D

Onions marinated in olive oil smell divine in the dehydrator:D

flax crackers loaded with herbs and garlic are another winner

I also enjoy the aroma therapeutic smell of pineapple rind/husk in my counter top composter:D

I love the smell of onion bread. I did NOT like the smell of the corn chips I made. Whoooooo but they were bad. The aroma seemed to linger for days.

Even better onion bread at goneraw. I too, love onions, but tried this one because of some of the comments about the regular onion bread. It is absolutely great, with the extra veggies, but do soak the flax meal.

Juliebove, were the corn chips themselves good?

No. They were horrid. Instead of getting crisp, they just got hard and they had the most disgusting flavor. Daughter begged me not to make them again.

I did make the onion bread and even though they were eaten quite quickly it did really leave an onion smell in the house....when I picked my daughter up from school she could even smell it on me, which I had been in the house the whole day. They were good but I haven't made them since. Oh, this same daughter even had her eyes tearing up because of the onion fumes in the house.

Even better onion bread. Not as much about onion, the texture and flavor of the extra veggies are nice.
