It's great to be with so many raw foodists.
I've done some research into raw foodism and decided I'd give it a try. I'm very much a simple person that likes the basics, and I want my body to be as healthy as possible to set an example for health.
I've consumed a vegan diet for about 18 months. I have not knowingly consumed any animal products since. I immediately turned vegan after seeing how the animals are treated on factory farms.
I'm so excited about this journey! :)

Excited to have you here. Hope you enjoy Alissa's book and DVD....it's the best I've come across to explain the in's and out's of the raw and living food lifestyle. Good Luck!

Thank you for the welcomes. It's day 5 and living raw is more then I could have imagined!
I've been talking to vegans about raw and many seem quite interested. They agree it's the way to go!

You're so right. I was already a vegan for 10 years before going raw, and a lacto-vegetarian for 20 years before that. Going cooked vegan was definitely a step in the right direction - it cured my asthma for example. However, that pales into insignificance when compared with the health benefits I've experienced as a raw vegan.
Lots more energy, need less sleep, lost 52 pounds (so far), less susceptible to colds and flu, stronger nails, all joint aches and pains are gone, my gums don't bleed any more, my vision is clearer, and it's only been six months.
Best wishes
Pete
