Hi!
I have been a vegetarian since January and had been losing a steady amount of weight every week. Last week i went to Guam where the portions are giiinormous and although i managed to stay veggie i gained 1.5 kilos back. i was so discouraged and this is when i started looking into a raw diet.
I have PCOS (main reason for my weight gain) which also comes with mood swings, lack of energy, and depression. I've read a lot about raw diet and in many cases it increases energy and in all the posts i've read it's made people feel great. On Alissa's website it also says raw diet is a relief for people with diabetes. people with PCOS have the same fundamental problem as those with diabetes of a lack of insulin.
I figured the raw diet to be an answer to all my problems (I'm ready to be patient, though!) so it's coming to me as a sort of new inspiration and I'm ready to stop fixating on the fact that i've gained back a kilo and am looking forward to this new challenge of a raw diet!
I live in Japan and don't have any of the tools regular raw diet-ers have, but I still hope to have the same amount of success.
Good luck to all!
