I was just wondering if anybody knows of any essential oils or even juices which help to suppress appetite. Not really affect production of stomach acid, but instead make food cravings less.
Thanks.

I believe that bergamot oil helps to suppress appetite. Just put a drop or two on a handkerchief, and sniff, or mix 2 or 3 drops with a teaspoonful of almond oil and dab on your wrists or use as a face oil -- it's lovely for the skin, too.

How often should the Bergamot oil be sniffed; every couple of hours or just before meals, etc?

This is sounds like an easy enough method, which I would not mind trying. My appetite seems to be simply out of control lately and I'm have difficulty getting it back under control!

Has anyone here tried Bergamot (or anything similar) before to suppress the appetite? If so, how did it work for you?

Walking in the sunshine doesn't necessarily suppress my appetite but does seem to help balance it.

A lot of folks say green tea helps, depending on how you feel about the caffeine and heating an herbal tea.

Thanks for your answers. :)

I have taken to smelling eucalyptus oil when a craving threatens. It has some effect. :D

Smelling apple cider vinegar only stirs appetite for me, though.

I went to get the Yogi Fasting tea from Whole Foods yesteday and they were out. The store employee said that she had just recently re-stocked the tea on the shelf and it was completely gome "again". She said it is very popular and they seem to often run out. Since she didn't expect to have more in until next week, I about to go to another local health food store and hope they have it. The first smaller health food store I tried didn't sell it.

Urine is a powerful appetite suppressant. I know people who have tried to practise urine therapy (don't knock it til you've researched it, urine isn't what people think it is, it's just filtered blood) but had to give up because they couldn't eat a thing.

Thiis isn't an oil but my bf says that Fennel suppress the appetite. He picks his wild where we live so it is free too. He said it works for him and he recommends it to others.
