I made some onion bread in my new dehydrator (yay! still excited about it). It turned out pretty well for a first attempt, but now I want to know how to store it. Should dehydrated breads be stored any particular way? Is putting it in a breadbox ok, or should it be refrigerated?
Sorry if this is a dumb question! :o I appreciate any help :)

I make onion bread a lot and I store my in the refrigerator! It will last for weeks but usually eaten in 3 or 4 days.
I always store it in my freezer, and take it out a piece at a time as I need it. it hardly takes any time to thaw at room temperature.
Spread the pieces of onion bread out on a board or tray and freeze until firm, then pack them in a suitable container.
I do this for all breads, slices of nut loaf etc.

Hi sorry to be a downer but freezing raw foods damages the enzymes.

What do you do with onion bread, and is this Matt Amsden's/Rawvolution onion bread?
I rarely find things to do with it and generally prefer Ani's black sesame sunflower bread with slight modifications.

Hi raweater! This was my first attempt at bread, period. I *just* got my dehydrator on Thursday, and the only bread materials I had in the house thursday night were materials to make onion bread. Right now my bf is eating it with raw leftovers from Au Lac. I might eat it later with avocado. :)
I don't have Ani's recipe, but that bread sounds good. I'm trying to find a bread that resembles cooked bread for sandwiches too.

Dry the bread really well for later
It can store for a couple months' time
dry till the moisture's completely out
keeps fresh in the refridgerator

I like my bread soft, but noticed that it got pretty wet/crumbly after a couple days... so I would dry it longer next time.
I read that some people stick a cotton ball in the container they keep it in to absorb the moisture.
