Alissa's DVD, blender/vita?

Hey, been watching Alissa DVD most of today, and must first say it was a wise investment. It would have took me ages to have figured all that out from trial and error. I'm happy!

Yenyway, question is Alissa uses the food processor all the time in the DVD's rather than the vita-mix. It seems to me they both perform the same task, so I couldn't work out why i'd need both. Or whether to just get one or the other and if so which one. Am i missing something?

i would get a food processor, as you can get good ones for $40 and vitamix is pricey (i think about $350 - but worth it!). you may want a vitamix eventually though, as you can make things very creamy - they are super high powered...vg for smoothies, salad dressings etc
