Hi All:
I just stated on raw foods this week. My intent is to be about 75% raw (always breakfast, and lunch or dinner - both on occasion). I have a few questions.
1. Is it true that it's okay to eat a lot of high fat foods, as long as you are eating a raw diet? I don't want to gain weight eating nuts and avocados.
My meals today consisted of:
Breakfast:
- Carrot/Orange/Celery Juice (3 oranges, 1lb carrots, 1/2 bunch celery hearts)
- Banana
- Mango
Lunch:
***Cooked***
- Vegan Grilled Portabello, Zucchini, Tomato, and Onion Sandwich on Ciabatta bread.
- Water
Dinner:
- Homemade Pate: 1-1/2 Cup Walnuts, 1 Tablespoon White Peppercorns, 1/2 Bunch Cilantro, pinch Celtic Salt, 1 Tablespoon Cold Pressed Olive Oil, 1 Tsp. Black Truffle Oil
- Homemade Guacamole: 1-1/2 Avocado, 1 Tomato, 1 Jalapeno Pepper, 1/2 Lime juice, pinch of Salt
- Water
Dessert:
- 2 Raw Truffles (with Coconut and Almonds) from a raw foods restaurant
- 12oz. warm black tea
As you can see, this was very fatty, but I don't feel stuffed at all.
FYI - the pate rocked!

I plan to share recipes that I make up :D
