My husband has that problem too.
The Doctor says he's salt sensitive, my husband counts his salt grams and takes potassium.
He's not all raw about 75%, he moniters his blood pressure with a blood pressure machine, the wrist kind, the best ones.
He works on keeping his stress level down and he's doing real good but he's working on getting off all meds.
We will be going to a chiropracter (not spelled correctly) soon for the problem.
I'm so glad my hubby is not eating the sad american diet:D
We've working on being all raw.
Hope your husband is doing well.

on the report was a lady that had high blood pressure and was on medication for it and she found out that there was a problem with her neck the vertabra(wrong spelling) sorry, that it was out of line and when it was corrected her blood pressure problem was under control.
They also say in the report that they have had positive results from this and that more test are being done.
We are going to talk with the Doctor and ask questions about it, medical long term is not good, it only supresses the symptoms but doesn't get rid of the cause. And can cause side effects that we don't want.

Aleve is Naproxen sodium, my hubby's bp went up because of it.

I've been trying to get off my bp meds as well. I lost 37 lbs. on RAW, but my bp stays now at about 140/80, not low enough to lose another pill! Twice last week I heard that eating celery is a sure thing. Jerry bowden, who has soem book (I heard him interviewed), says that if you eat 4 sticks a day of celery, your bp will go down. I'm doing that now. I also have recently read that Reishi musrooms (available in capsules at the hfs) work well. Then, on earthclinic.com, I saw that Apple Cider Vinegar works very well. I'm going to try each of these cures separately, and if I don't have success, start combining them.
It also goes without saying that aerobic exercise is helpful, as is mindful relaxation to manage stress. I do lots of yoga, which I think helps---I just know it's healthy----but my bp is stubborn. Good luck! Let us know if you find what works!
