I know that lemons turn alkaline in the body when they are digested, but I think the acid may be wearing down my tooth enamel? My teeth are really sensitive now that I am half way through the cleanse.
Has anybody else had this?

When I did the cleanse, I thought it felt like the enamal was wearing off too, so after the drink I started swishing baking soda and that seemed to really help neutralize the acid.

You could always sip your MC trough a straw... bypassing the teeth.

You can also try switching to limes? They're allowed too.

Yes I experienced this on the MC and to remedy it I brushed my teeth with Tom's peppermint paste or baking soda about 4 times a day and especially at night before going to bed so that any remaining acid would be washed out of my mouth. I also scraped my tongue with a tongue scraper about 2-3 times per day...the tongue scraping helped with detox breath too.

Another helpful thing to do is to drink the lemonades or limeades with a straw to minimize contact with all of that maple syrup and lemons on your teeth. I think the syrup more than the lemon acid really gets to your gums and teeth if you have existing sensitivities...at least I found this to be true for myself.

I'll add I had some pain in the right side of my mouth before cleansing and it's gone now. I'm also oil pulling and I know this is helping with the sensitive teeth issue...just about healed now. :)

Please be cautious of the typical toothpaste brands sold at HFS that contain glycerine. The glycerine coats the teeth with a slick covering that prevents the process of being reenameled and brings on problems with sensitivities. Many of us find that we do much better with brushing with 80% baking soda and 20% sea salt.
