Anybody have a good recipe that uses broccoli that you have tried on SAD eaters? I am looking for one for this weekend. I would LOVE if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

I don't like broccoli as is but love this recipe:

1/2 cup orange juice
1 t fresh ginger
1/4 cup nama shoyu
1 t toasted sesame oil (optional, not raw)
1/4 cup olive oil
4 cups chopped broccoli
1/4 cup sesame seeds

Blend all ingredients except broccoli and sesame seeds. Combine broccoli and sesame seeds in a bowl and pour sauce over and mix well.

Thanks guys! I have a big bag of broccoli that I bought at Sam's Club and would love to use some this Sunday when people come over. I might try BOTH of the recipes you guys posted.

I HAD THIS OFTEN when we were raw 100 days last year!

This is one of the most delish recipes EVER. I CAN totally vouch for this one.

Thanks for posting/reminding me of this!

I make a salad very similar to this one but I also add to the broccili and sesame seeds some sunflower seeds, califlower, red onion rings and grape tomatoes. Delicious.

not sure how involved you want to get but scroll down about halfway (if you aren't tempted by the cupcakes etc on the way) on this website for Cheesy Broccoli Cannelloni.......the Raw Goddess is fantastic, I love her website:

Do you like broccoli? This salad is soooo good - they'll think it's cooked, honestly.

Surprise Broccoli Salad
The suprise of this salad is that people will think the broccoli is cooked (it's not!).

Broccoli
Cucumber
Dried Figs(or other)
Raw Apple Cider Vinegar
Raw Agave Nectar (optional)
Sunflower Seeds (optional)

Was broccoli well and remove flower part from stems. Cut florets into sized desired. Pare stems and slice into thin pieces. Place broccoli in bowl. Sprinkle with sea salt and drizzle with Olive Oil. Massage for a minute or two. Set aside. Pare cucumber, slice in quarters and then pieces. Add to broccoli. Slice some dried figs into thin pieces and add to salad - you could use raisins, gogi berries or other dried fruits or leave out altogether. Add a splash of Raw Apple Cider Vinegar and mix well into salad. Adjust seasonings if needed - a few drops of agave to balance vinegar.

Add Sunflower seeds if you like more crunch. This salad keeps well.
