I had planned to make Alissa's Easy Cucumber Soup today, but I've just discovered that I don't have any lemons, and I really don't want to walk all the way back to the store to get some. Yes, I am totally being lazy! :p

The recipe calls for only a teeny amount of lemon juice, so I am guessing it's purpose is to keep the avocado from browning and not for flavour. I was wondering if could use a splash of orange juice in it's place. Does orange juice prevent browning in the same way or is it completely different? :confused:

If anyone could suggest other substitutes, that would be great too. :)

Just return the Avocado Seed back to the Soup, it will keep the color..or just EAT it ALL up at once....
