Hi there,

I am new to this and am wondering if coffee or tea is okay with the raw diet. I am assuming not because they are hot, but just want to make sure.

Also, is diet soda raw? I am assuming that at least one ingredient must have been heated up at one point. This is just something I would like to know, although I am trying to stay away from soda anyway.

No to all of the above. You might wish to do a search as this has been discussed numerous time.

As far as diet soda goes, there is NOTHING natural in it. It is one of the most harmful products one can put in the body. If you wish to check this, do a search here, or do a google search on aspartame.

Hi, I'm new here too!

I was just reading this post by Revvell: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4256

So, I'd say coffee and tea are out. I don't know about diet soda, but I'm assuming it's a no-no :) .

Fortunatly, these items aren't my downfall. Breads are my downfall!

coffee NO , diet soda - NO ,NO ,NO !!!!!!!

actually regular soda (is horrible) but its probably better than the frankinsugar in diet......

as far as tea , some see it as a NO others see it as a transitional tool , try herbal teas!

You might try "searching" for "soda" , and you will find a recipe I created , its pretty good (imo)
