As I said in another post also, I'm looking for ways to make more money. I thought about writing a raw recipe ebook which I could sell $5-10.
Do you think an ebook version of raw recipes would sell? I do have a business color printer so I could print and sell actual printed books also, but would rather stay virtual to save time and money (and the planet).
How many recipes should it have to be worth $5-10? 50? 100? I would almost certainly add photos of the most visually spectacular recipes.
Thanks

Why not do it? A lot of people do e books and I am sure make a decent amount of money. RFer's are always looking for new, exciting recipes and mouthwatering pictures that make us salivate! Check out others and see how many recipes are included on average. I would guess for $10, 15- 30 recipes. Good Luck with your venture.

Hi, well I started compiling a list of recipes I'd put in the book, and already have 49! And these are all delicious recipes that the majority of SAD eaters will like. I think I can have this done relatively quickly, maybe in less than a month. Not to ruin the surprise, but I thought I'd post the recipes I decided to include so far, there are many very common SAD foods in there, making a transition to raw food almost flawless.
Here's the list:
1. Breakfast Smoothie

5. Kale Chips
6. Tomato Basil Soup
7. Onion Soup

You'd be putting yourself at an even higher advantage if you can manage to find a niche for yourself and your recipes. For example, I notice in some of your posts how you feel about grains and certain other items...try catering your recipes to the gluten-free..."Highly Delicious Gluten-Free (or Grain-Free) Raw and Living Recipes" or something to that effect.
Much success to your endeavor!

Rawkinlocs: I'm not sure why you said that small italic sentence, but I have nothing against you and enjoy many of your posts. Sorry if you felt that way.
I do indeed prefer to stay grain free, I figure if eat raw for health, why eat unhealthy raw foods. I don't really like any recipes that use grains anyway, except corn chips. I'm also writing a book on health and talk a lot about why grains are so dangerous, so it would be a bit absurd to then give them recipes that have grains, but I may have one exception, the corn chips. I'm not going to sell the health book though, it will be free, I don't want anyone to think I wrote it for money, because I didn't. There are so much frauds in health that I think that giving it for free may show people that it's not to make money, it's to save lives and end corruption in health care and government.
Anastazia: I wouldn't say I invented them all but I did invent many of them from scratch, the others are my own versions of similar recipes I have in books I bought. I've been raw for over 2 years now and over that time bought about 10 raw recipe books. I found myself modifying many recipes for several reasons. Also, I mixed recipes from different books, for example I would make the pizza crust of one book with modifications, the cheese of another book, and the tomato sauce of another. With all these recipes I quickly began to learn the basics of making raw versions of cooked food. If you also see the Recipe forum you may have noticed I posted a few recipes I invented like the Cheesy bread with marinara sauce and the cinnamon rolls. I can now make raw versions of many SAD foods just by thinking about it, as was the case with many of the recipes I'll have in the book.

Cool beans! :D
Since your email is unlisted, shoot me an email (mine is in my profile) and I'll tell you more about that sentence I wrote (I removed it, btw). Thanks! :)

Hi, well I wanted to post an update, even though I haven't spent that much time on it so far, I already have my first 10 recipes written, that's 10 of 49. I expect the writing to be done in a week or so, but I will want to take pictures and create a nice presentation so that may take an extra week or more. I will only take pictures of the most impressive looking recipes, not really any point in picturing a blended smooth soup.
By the way, is there a section on this board where I'd be allowed to advertise this book or is it against the rules?
Thanks

Yeah, self-promo is not encouraged with the exception of a small blurb in your signature line.
