hi everyone,
I'm new to the board - well I've been coming and reading but the last time I tried to register it didn't work.
Anyhow, I've been high raw since April of last year and have been trying to get pregnant since Oct 05. Well now I'm pregnant!! I'm at about 8 weeks and had sworn I would be 100% raw during pregnancy.
That's proved to be a challenge because so many of the recipes I was making and loving before I just cannot fathom eating now. I've been off nuts for weeks now too.
So I've been eating more cooked (like dry bread like pita) just to eat ... I'm sooo hungry all day and there's only so much of the same fruits and vegetables and I can eat all day.
I know I have to listen to my body but at the same time I'm a bit disappointed that I'm not 100% raw and I want to make sure I'm getting all the greens I need.
I can't seem to find a smoothie recipe I like with kale so I've been having more spinach. I made some green soup the other day and then I couldn't eat it...

I would love any insight or advice on the best whole foods for me to eat around my new food tastes... thanks angels!

I just wanted to say....relax.... this part will end and you will get back to your regular raw eating.

I am 24 weeks right now and I too went through the same thing. I could not eat the foods that I normally ate and started eating some cooked foods to help out.

I found that eating something very often helped. Like grapes. I would eat a few grapes every hour. Truly that helped a bit. I was pretty sick though.

I honestly couldn't find much that I could eat that was raw. I tried. I made lots of things that I normally didn't eat. I had to force myself because going without just made it worse.

So hang in there. It will be over and you will be back to where you were.

You bet! Pregnancy is a different experience for sure. Everything seems to go out the door.

Some people don't have any issues but I have found that most of us that struggle with morning sickness do have to change things a bit.

Keep trying and keep your chin up, before you know it you will be eating TONS of your favorite raw foods again.
