about those Sea tangle kelp noodles!
i got home late tonight after working...very hard, was exhausted & STARVING.
so tempted to make something not raw.
had some of the kelp noodles in the fridge with a bit of left over marinara and some pesto....mixed it all up & put it in the drater...which isn't necessary, but taksd the chill off. SO GOOOD! so satisfying!
they soften up so fast with marinara.
totally kills my pasta cravings & fills me up! :D

I'm going to have to try these! I wish I had a store nearby that carried them. Oh well

The kelp noodles are the absolute best. There is a chow mein recipe posted there with several adaptations that is awsome. Will certainly never bewithout these awsome noodles. They are great with marinara, too. Will be experimenting with miso the coming week to see how they do in this arena.
Good health to all.

I just got 2 cases in the mail today.
WOW, YUMMMM...
I ate two pkgs total today. At 18 calories a pkg, it is amazing (but I am sure the sesame sauce I put on it more than made up for the minimal calories).
They had the same 'tummy feel' as SAD pasta. I am in heaven. The longer they sit in the sauce, the better. I am SO glad I heard about these!

Miaculpa,
What is your sesame sauce recipe, please?
Thanks!

Wow, I winged it with:
tahina, clove of garlic, 1/2 chili pepper (seeded), agave, nama shoyu, tsp cider vinegar, ground black pepper, and water-- mix up like you would tahina sauce or whizz in the FP. Meanwhile, I soaked the noodles in nama shoyu and Evoo. I tossed the sauce in and garnished with green onion and black sesame seeds
Earlier in the day I did the sauce with an extra spoon of almond butter and it was yum.
The longer they sit, the better/softer... I was able to scoop the noodles out of the sauce and put on a plate after they'd been sitting (because it gets a tad watery after a while), THEN garnish.

I've never heard of these noodles .... so what do they taste like, when I hear the word kelp, I think fishy taste. Also, where did you order them from?
THANKS!!!

they are from the sea tangle company and I got them offline.
No fishy taste at all, they are like slightly al dente glass noodles. They dont have a taste, actually, just a slight crunch.
google it or search on this site, tons of info on them.

Can someone post a picture of these outside the package? I went to the website but can barely see anything because the pictures are too tiny. I like to see them in a all their glory to see what they look like exactly.

miaculpa,
Thanks for the great link. I'm going to see if I can find them locally anywhere, if not I'll order them.
