what causes this all over intense itching and very fine all over white body flakes?
some days this itching is out of control other times there is no itching at all, but the flaking is somewhat constant, I think.
this has come and gone for years and today it is driving me a bit mad. and no, it's not cold or wintery dry skin weather here.
dry brushing is nice, but the flaking is really endless. ugh.

I dunno tho... because I used to have psoriasis too and this is quite different. It's dry very very fine flakey skin which you can't see unless you are wearing black garments.
Seems more like either fungal issue or liver detox than psoraisis which, for me was always in one spot and more dramatic and obvious.
so anyway I think my liver is doing something good or bad or it is a fungal issue. sure wish I knew so I could tailor my raw diet accordingly.
thanks for your reply crystal. :)

I often wonder the same thing about my problem, it really doesnt look like my Psoriosis used to look. I also thought it may be fugal but my tests at the doctors came back negative(not that that means anything!).
I hope you can find out whats causing it cos I sure could do with knowing the answer too.
Hugs to you xxxxxxxxxxx

thanks again Crystal.
I really feel like this is a candida/fungal symptom (if not liver detox).

Why do you say no it's not dry winter skin, it's Feb?. I always have dry powderey skin around the middle in winter, but this is the first time I have had alot of itching, especially on my back.

Hi Lavendula,
Well because it has been in the 60's and 70's here. I have not used the heater in quite a while.
Maybe it's normal. Just tons of dead skin cells shedding away (yes, you said it, "powdery" is an accurate description), but my skin is so itchy from time to time that I've had to wonder if it is a food allergy, detox or liver trouble.
Guess it will remain a mystery for now.
I just keep track of reactions to foods I eat or drink. And, take care of my liver and for the candida thing I don't know what more I can do there.

I have a similar problem, except mine are light grey and come off in the consistency of shredded wet toilet paper o_o

hi k-eyes,
thanks for your response.
I think I am going to get back to dry brushing regularly. Maybe that will clear away the debris.

just have to detox, like every other health problem. skin issues mostly from clogged large intestine. It will get better the more raw you eat...for sure.
In my particular case, with matching symtoms, it is liver detox. My Chiro/Acupunturist helped me to determine. I took some supplements for a while but found a juice of beets, carrots and an apple to round out works the best for me along with salt water baths.
Also in my particular case I was having a lot of irritablilty and anger which are liver/gall bladder issues. So if you are having these issues in conjunction that about seals it in my opinion!
I just started a daily regimen of wheat grass as well, so I am excited to see how that works for me as well!

yeah, I did have some digestive pains last year in the liver/gallbladder area. It was after great and prolonged stress, fear, anger, despair, etc. I got very ill from emotions alone. At which point I may have went overboard with fasting and such and ultimately cleansed too fast and harshly. Guess it kinda back fired with a few bad digestive attacks which I never really figured out the exact name of. I mean gallstone attack, liver overload, indigestion, candida overgrowth... who knows? At one point thought I was having a heart attack!
Nevermind, lesson learned!
I removed the main stress makers in my life and began the slower, more gentle, cautious route of healing. I'm so much better now, but am still working out the fine kinks.
I've found a great Raw Food ND who has advised me to go gluten-free, which I have since Dec., can't tell if that is effective yet, and Chinese doctor who is helping me with hyper liver and hypo bladder via herbs.
Planning massage therapy and making more time for regular daily exercise. The quest goes on, but I'm always learning.
Thanks all!
