That's what i call my concoction anyway! What I do is to liquify a handful of berries, or other fruit, like pineapple, mango, peaches, etc. and then add about 3/4 of a cup of frozen banana chunks. A great quick blender "soft serve ice cream" I had just now is a handful of blueberries, one large strawberry, blended up first with a bit of orange juice to liquify, and then adding about 3/4 of a cup of frozen banana chunks to blend on high. This is so-o yummy, simple and satisfies a frozen dessert craving - this is my pre-exercise snack for today. I call it my "insane raw ice cream" - I've made this a few times over the last few months with variations even before my extremely recent campaign to seriously bump up the raw! Another variant, which is richer is to grind up a tablespoon or so of raw cashews first and then add the other stuff. I got inspired when I saw stuff on the web about the book "Raw Vice Cream" which features similar stuff. If you want the mixture to firm up more, put it in a little serving dish and freeze for an hour or more, depending on how liquid it is.
I'm betting that some sort of variation featuring raw cacao and dates as flavorings would be out of this world, with some vanilla bean.
Another thing I found with making these, is that just a few grains of good-quality salt bring out the other flavors and balance out your treat!

I love raw ice cream, but I prefer ice creams made with fat so they're similar to real ice cream, but in fact taste better. I do have the Vice Cream book and it's great. Most recipes use a blend of cashews and water to make the "cream", then add the flavorings you want. You do need a real ice cream maker though but they can be had for $20-70, I have a Cuisinart 2 quart model.

Lately I've been making fruit only ice creams in my Green Star juicer, but the fat ice creams are great also, I like them both, they are very different, the fruit only one is so light you could eat liters of it, the fat one fills you up after a few spoon fulls so you can't eat much of it.

My favourite is redcurrants and frozen bananas. I could eat it forever.

Adding pecans, salts and coconut oil to banana-icecream makes it sort of buttery.

just as good- pulverize a couple frozen banannas with about a cup of frozen strawberries in the food processor....keep on going...for a couple minutes, it will get FLUFFY & creamy & very much like soft serve!
add a touch of vanilla if ya like!
