My boss took me here for my Birthday dinner and let me tell you, I was in raw heaven. It was by far the best meal I have had ever. So guiltless, so satisfying, purely amazing. I highly recommend!

Oh yeah it's fantastic isn't it. We went to NY in October and eating there was the best bit of the holiday! I'd fly 7 hours just to go there again :)
I ate at the carry out last week. I had the Thai Wraps. I love the Rosemary Quackers!
It was the first visit for me. It was very crowded!
I am hoping to visit them againthe next time I am in NYC!

I went for my birthday and it was just the jump start I needed to pursue my desire to go raw. My boyfriend took me and we had the tasting menu. The food was superb. This was two weeks ago. I immediately came home and started clearing out my kitchen. I just ordered an excalibur and a vitamix. I promised myself I would make it back in the summer:)

I was in NY for work last week so I got to eat at Pure Food & Wine. I had a reservation for 2 (me and my son) and then my niece and her boyfriend decided to join me at the last minute. That blew my reservation, but after some pleading they put us in the "private dining room", through the kitchen overlooking the outdoor dining area. Eventually, the private dining room filled up---there was space for about 16. I didn't get to experience the main dining room, but it was still very cool.
We had the tasting menu, and with four of us we must have tried 20 different things. It was simply outstanding. I loved everything! My niece (a vegetarian, sometime vegan, and occasional raw foodie) said it was the best meal she had ever had in her life. I think I would rank it right up there in the top 2 or 3 in terms of meals that I left feeling like I had tasted heaven.
After I left, I felt satisfied and yet not stuffed. That's the cool thing about raw eating.
I think this is still the #1 restaurant in the world. I know Alissa will continue to make Grezzo a strong competitor for that spot!

Oh yeah, Pure Food and Wine is easily my favorite restaurant. Every time I go there I get the Chef's Choice where they send out a sample of many different dishes. Every single plate they brought out was amazing (both times I have been there.) It is plenty filling and the desserts samples are too good to describe here (young kids may be reading this.) Even the water there is amazing. They have a Tensui water perfection system that is oh-my-god expensive. I tried to buy one for my house until I got the quote..... Ouch! If you are in NYC and want to have a top-notch dining experience then try out Pure Food and Wine.

How does the tasting menu work... I see on their site it's 5 course...do you pick what's on it or is their whole menu on it in small portions? I'm confused. Thanks.

It's the chef's choice.........I went with my son and his fiance and for each course we each had something different and tasted each other's food so we actually tried like 20 something different things. The portions are smaller than if you ordered it as a meal. I thought it was great.

The tasting menu is the way to go @ Pure...--- the chef will choose and portions are slightly smaller - Alissa does this also at Grezzo. You will love it!!

My Mom went there a couple of weeks ago, and said it was the best food she EVER had. I am so jealous! Although, she did bring me back a piece of chocolate cake that was to die for. :)
I can't wait to go! And I can't wait for the August meetup at Grezzo!
