Hello from Toronto

hi,
i've been coming to this site for a couple of weeks now to read all the wonderful posts and to get more info about raw diet and life style. The reason i decided to join this particular forum was the positive vibe that is here. I have been on a few other sites and I must say that every one on this site is very friendly.
a bit about me:
I'm 27... from the Toronto area. athletic but not slim. trying to look good and be healthy. be good to my body and mother nature. I've been 80-90% raw for a couple of weeks now. need to get all my courage together to go 100%.

Just wanted to say hello, and I agree this is such a great site, I had the same feeling when I first found it, very friendly people and lots of activity.

And I'm in Toronto too, I just moved here over the summer from Florida, so this is my first winter here.....so much SNOW!!!

Your right this is a great forum....I hope you can get a chance to read Alissa's book. She too is athletic and her book tells about her story plus many other people. It gives you all the ins and outs of the raw food lifestyle so you really know what your committing too. Sounds like your doing great so far. Judith:)

welcome! I was curious if Toronto has any raw restaurants. I'm from Vancouver and we have one raw take-out window. There have been raw restaurants, but they all end up closing down.

Toronto has a raw restaurant called "Live" and I am looking forward to going for brunch tomorrow!! It is my treat as I prepare all the meals for the rest of the week and it has been 2 weeks since I've eaten out! This is a fantastic restaurant and my inspiration to push myself further in the culinary department.

So how was the restaurant? I just told my husband I would love to go there . I am never happy going to restaurants anymore. I'm never happy with the salads you get, and who knows what they add to dressing. even when you get oil & vinegar. and the worst is I never feel well afterwards. Usually it goes thru me really quick.
