I tried this recipe yesterday, it is a merging of two other recipes and it is so easy and so yummy. It was even a hit with my hubby who thinks most raw desserts are a bit weird. Enjoy!
Chocolate Bars
Serves 6
Base:
1 c. almonds
1/4 c. honey
Process almonds until fine, then slowly add agave. Press into a loaf pan. You could also add cacao to the almonds before adding the agave if you want chocolate/chocolate.
Then top this with Alissa's topping for her fudge cake (posted on-line in her restaurant review)
For the topping:
1/2 c. cacao powder
1/4 c. coconut oil
1/4 c. honey
Mix topping ingredients by hand in a small bowl. When smooth, pour the sauce on top of the base. I would sprinkle the top with walnuts. Refrigerate the cakes until firm.
This is very good and VERY quick.
NOTE - Make sure you mix the topping ingredients by hand, I didn't remember this until the ingredients were already in my Vita-Mix and it caused the coconut oil to break just a little bit.
