hi, i saw frozen wheatgrass on another thread briefly mentioned, which i had never heard of before. Then i did a quick google search and found out that an internet place i used to order from who specialise in wheatgrass, be it supplying the seeds/trays/soil or delivery wheatgrass fully grown, have now started selling Frozen Wheatgrass Shots. They say that they freeze the wheatgrass they gow straight away. And as they specialise in whatgrass im sure the quality is excellent.

But what i would really like to know if, even at the highest quality, is frozen wheatgrass a good alternative to freshly jiiced wheatgrass. I know theres that AFA Algea that you can buy which is sold frozen and the general feeling about that is that its very good and effective... does anyone know if frozen wheatgrass is just as effective?

There is no way that it will be as good but it would be better than not doing it at all.

I think fresh would be best, but I'm using the frozen right now.

Fresh is best but frozen is right there. Usually the frozen juice is coming from grass that has been grown outdoors which tends to have a higher nutrient content than tray grown. There's a study that was done in sproutman's book that shows the results of fresh vs. frozen . There wasn't much nutrient loss in the frozen grass. Either way is good.

I use the 100% oraganic frozen and really like it. I don't think I'm accomplished enough to grow my own :D
It's as close to the real thing as I'm going to get. ;)
