take a butter knife and gently tap... tap... tap on the side of the rim of the jar cap.... then take a dry towel and try to open it. (the oils from your hand might be making the cover slippery)... and keep tap... tap... tapping on the side of the jar lid until it gives!!!
must open that jar of agave!!!

If you still haven't got it open, I have a suggestion. I assume it's a twist-off top? I used to work in a bakery and the olives we bought were so hard to get open. What worked was to take a spoon and wiggle it under the edge of the lid and press, trying to break the seal. There should be a nice pop and it should open easily.

Have you tried putting it in the fridge or freezer?
Since it is a raw product, it probably wasn't heat sealed, but sealed in cold.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took the jar over to a "strong" friend's house and he could NOT open it, either..... SOOOOO, I finally poured boiling hot water in a bowl and submerged the jar in it for about 30 seconds... and VOILA - - - it finally opened........ Now I hope it still has maintained it's "RAW" state... i think it has since it was only in the water at most for 30 seconds....
Anyone else had problems opening the agave????

Yep! I and two strong men could not get that lid to budge. The lid finally ended up cracking while my son was trying to open it. So we just used a knife to finish preying the lid off.
