I have decided to switch to non toxic natural soap, however detoxyourworld has stopped selling the natural MSM soap it used to sell.
Is there anywhere else one can buy natural soap without tons of chemicals in it ?

I buy soap from Whole Foods. It comes with flower seeds in the container :) It's very cute!
Also, Long's Drugs by me has an all organics section that has a nice selection of all natural soaps
I've been happy with this:

www.islandsoapway.com is really good stuff and they have pretty good prices. all her stuff is made with saponified coconut oil and cocoa butter, and then minerals. it depends upon which bar you get, that will decide what type of minerals are in it. there's a beauty bar, laveneder, orange, lemon, slippery elm and a bunch others. it's only $5 a bar and they last a while. you can also get a sample pack for $5 which has like 8-9 chunks of each different soap so you can try a variety and decide which ones you really like. i was actually born and raised where this lady is located(deland, florida) and have met her. the stuff is great!

We really like Dr Bronner's. Do you have a farmer's market? There is usually someone local who makes natural soaps and stuff.

I buy it as well and use it for everything. I get a gallon container in the health food store for €52.

I have to admit that I have gone back to the health food store toothpaste. I was using the toothsoap for about 2 years but I think that the last jar that I bought was rancid and turned me off.
I fill every soap container in the house with Dr Bonners so it is used for hand washing, showering and shampooing. I use baking soda for the kitchen and bathroom.

hmm.. i was thinking about ordering the toothsoap but hesitant only because i dislike ordering off the internet when i can get something in town. thats why i was wondering about dr bronners, i can pick that up locally. ive yet to find a healthfood store toothpaste without glycerin. i might pick up the bronners anyways, since its so versatile.

Hi, some new questions.
Is it safe to brush your teet with soap, preferably a natural soap from a company that sells natural products ? Do i just scrape the toothbrush over the soap and use it like regualr toothpaste ? This would seem easy and simple, so is this the method ?
and instead of the msm soap, I may use this instead

I did that. It was much nicer that the toothsoap that I had purchased (at great expense) just for my teeth.
I know that I had checked before I started using it to see if it was vegan but I am going to contact the company to see if there is any reason that I can not use it to brush my teeth.

Found this on the website.
Although the label claims eighteen uses, we do not have the space to write all these uses on the label and still accommodate for my grandfather’s philosophy, as well as the new labeling laws that are periodically implemented. In reality, there are far more than eighteen uses, as people constantly write in to tell us about yet another utility of the soap. We won’t detail them all, but below are some of the major uses and dilutions.
For everyday body-washing: Get wet and pour soap full-strength onto hands-washcloth-loofah. Lather up, scrub down, rinse off, and tingle fresh and clean.
For other uses, dilute from one part soap into 40 parts water for light cleaning, to cutting it in half or using it full strength for heavy-duty grease-cutting jobs.
For shampoo, wet hair and scalp very thoroughly, squirt some soap into hands and work into a lather. Wash hair, then rinse well. Because soap can be drying for most hair types, using it as a shampoo is not one of our formal recommendations. Nevertheless, many people are fond of using it as such. People with short and/or curly hair seem to have the best luck using it for shampoo. Those of us with fine, straight hair sometimes feel it is difficult to rinse well. A dilute vinegar rinse is the best way to remove any residue.
For the laundry, use 1/4 cup to 1/3 cup for one regular load; adjust as needed depending on hardness of water. I've been told that adding a dash of baking soda makes it even better.
For pets, lather up well and apply to their body. Be careful to keep the soap and the lather away from their eyes. I find a mixture of peppermint and eucalyptus works best.
For toothbrushing, apply a drop or two of Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap (I prefer the peppermint) to a wet toothbrush. Brush as you normally would, rinsing accordingly. Be careful about using more than a couple drops of soap, as you might start foaming at the mouth (last time I checked "rabid chic" was not hip). Many people with sensitive or softer teeth like to use our soap as toothpaste because it lacks abrasives

Hi, I have some more questions.
Ok, for brushing my teeth, could it simply be just putting my toothbrush on a bar of soap and using it on my teeth ?
Secondly, is something like this Okay ?
http://www.detoxyourworld.com/acatalog/efb_bar.html
Obviously i would use one for my teeth and one for personal cleaning, so I could order two. Also, could I use one to wash my hair with, the soap from the bar itself ???
Can anyone help me answer this ??

just to report-- i DID get the peppermint dr bronners and have been using it on my teeth and loving it. you also literally only need TWO DROPS so... its gonna last forever.
fuggles--- ive used bar soap before, but watch out for the ingredients. i used one that was ONLY saponified organic olive oil & filtered water... it was okay.. but it didnt help with my teeth sensitivities or anything. i think the bronners MIGHT be helping, but its too soon to tell. :)
