OKay, I meant to ask, "Which juices are recommended...?"

When juice fasting, apple juice, greens juice (kale or spinach), broccoli juice, cucumber juice and carrot juice are my big ones. However, I believe that I would like to go on a juice fast using only juices which are acceptable for candida sufferers. I'd like to see how this makes me feel.

Apple juice and carrot juice have been huge for me because they don't taste so bad, and don't make me nauseous. I can't drink greens juice by itself, but I can mix an ounce of it with 5 ounces of apple/carrot juice.

Thanks for your input.

I just looked up what raw juices are best in "The Juicing Bible" (Crocker and Eagles) - the authors recommend the following:

cranberries, broccolli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, leafy greens, onions, squash, sweet potato and red pepper, garlic, ginger, parsley - that's the shortlist i thought might be helpful to you.

it does say to minimize the the fruit sugars as much as possible.

hope that helps!

It also recommends minimizing

to address the making-green-juice-taste-better problem while you're minimizing fruit sugars: i'm not positive about juices because they are so concentrated, but granny smith apples, lemons, limes and cranberries are the standard candida diet fruits that are allowed. also i'd imagine that coconut water (fresh from young coconuts) would be allowed. maybe someone else can confirm for sure.

Excessive carbs in a juice diet are only a problem is you aren't physically active and don't burn them off. I have a physically strenuous line of work as I'm a housecleaner and will carefully guage how much apple juice I can use to sweeten those strong green drinks.
also, be aware that candida die-off is unpleasant and be a stress on the liver. I'll be taking milk thistle to deal with this on my juice fast. Best of luck to you!:)
