I've used one. I enjoyed it. Got to listen to music and select what colour I wanted the light to be while sweating up a storm! :p Whether it does what it says it does I don't know I just enjoy one every now and again during winter.

We have one and LOOOVE it, use it daily...perfect for these frigid winters and sooooo detoxing and relaxing....At night, I use it, take a shower and boom, out like a baby for blissful (warm) sleep....I have problems with low body temp. so it really helps!
Good luck!

Has anyone ever seen one that is not wooden or is that impossible.
I want to install one in my new bathroom but the appearance in going to spoil the look of my modern bathroom.
I was hoping that there is something available that looks more modern.

I bet you could call and inquire? Maybe you could somehow decorate the outside? I don't know anything about the portable ones.....Ours was worth every penny. My dh has a lot of "military injuries" with different joints, muscles, bones....and when he is achy it really helps him relax and feel better...

Hi...
I just recieved my portable infrared Sauna.. those tent ones that cover everything but your head... I was a lil nervous using it because I was used to a capsule infrared sauna at this spa... so i wasnt sure if it was going to be stong enough to make me sweat... But man 5 minutes in I was dripping, by the end of my time using it there was a puddle on the floor. It was awesome!

We have the plans sent to 3 builders and are waiting for prices.
You will be happy to know that we are building a Passive House. One builder says that there will only be 2 months from contract to completion so we will have the glasshouse and all done before the winter.
Are you planning a visit this year. You can help me to plan the garden.

SWEET. passive solar heating.....but only for when the suns out, right? hope its not a summer like last summer.... :o
i stayed in a cottage in colorado over christmas that had passive solar. it was like 20 degrees farenheight outside but by evening it was about 70 degrees farenheight inside by evening. toasty. and that was with no other heat on. the sun was out though, and its a high altitude, so it probably gathers more heat than one in ireland.
i am really wanting to come this summer; havent figured out how yet money-wise, since i just moved to seattle...so now im 6000 miles away, but im planning on going back to massachusetts then back to dingle towards the end of may.. i got a job out here in seattle with GREAT benefits for a raw-fooder--i pack and deliver produce for an organic delivery company, and every friday we get a cardboard box crammed with organic fruits and veggies, AND we get to pick through all the "imperfect" produce that doesnt make the cut for packing during the week. So its like a raw-fooders paradise--i could never afford organic fruit before and now i get it for free. the pay isnt super; only about half of what i was making in washington Dc, so thats pretty problematic, but the produce bonus is AWESOME... Still, i drove all the way to seattle to re-discover that where i really wanted to be is Dingle...crazy, in light of the fact that im surrounded by access to free, great food here and lots of vegetarians and vegans, neither of which i get in dingle, but there some deep element of my soul that is just crying out to be back there.... SO.... im hoping to be back towards the end of may, AND im hoping to get my hands on a "junker" car for the summer because im sick of only having my bike and the bus to get places. but i guess theres some new regulations and you cant drive junker cars over there anymore...so we'll see. of course ill help you plan your garden if i get over there and down to cork. may/june will be a bit later than the ideal to start planting stuff tho....also, if theres seeds u want of stuff you cant get there lemme know and i could bring ya some...--

? hmmm..organic sunflower seeds for sprouting...from america? i used to get the organic ones at the hfs in dingle or from munster wholefoods and they sprouted great... even tried growing greens in the greenhouse with them. they worked great....until the RATS discovered and plundered my sunflower greens in the tunnel. that was the end of that. this year im gonna try suspending the trays from the roof. let the little buggers try an get up THERE to eat my greens. hmmmmphf
