View Full Version : Raw Food restaurant in Lakeland, FL??

Hey everyone, I read the florida threads but didnt see a mention of any raw food restaurants in Lakeland, Florida. Just wondered if there were any there or nearby there as my family and I are going there for 10 days in a just a few days. Really looking forward to getting out of this snow up to my hiney :rolleyes: and seeing some SUNSHINE! At least I hope so anyhow :cool: Thought it would be nice to check out a raw food restaurant while we were there. If nothing else I will have to find a good place down there to get some fruits and veggies.

My oh my how I am going to miss my vita mix those 10 days. I dont know if I will be able to handle not having my big green smoothie every morning... hope I can make it.

Have you thought about getting one of those little travel blenders? They work pretty well.

I just checked on Happy Cow and they do not even list a vegetarian friendly restaurant in Lakelands.

Hi Tammy. Unfortunately, there are no raw food restaurants in Lakeland. Florida has 8 raw food restaurants--located in Flagler Beach (near Jacksonville), Ft. Lauderdale, Merritt Island, Miami Beach, Sarasota, St. Augustine, Tampa, and West Palm Beach.

The closest raw food restaurant to Lakeland would be The Grass Root in Tampa (about 35 minutes away). They serve all organic food - both cooked and raw food dishes.

Thanks for posting this. Wish I had seen it before we went to Tampa! We are back home now in the cold zone :(

i loooooooove The Grass Root. The food is wonderful!!! 5 starfruit!

...also... I've also eaten at Alive and Healthy in Merritt Island, FL...mmmmm:D
