I've always had a weak digestion and had to have colonics even before going raw as I would get so bloated I needed the pressure releasing.
I've been really bloated over the last couple of weeks as haven't been paying the attention to being raw that works for me. I booked a colonic and when I walked in tonight the therapist thought I was pregnant (guess that means I look bloated then!)
The colonic released a lot of gas - but then she suggested that I have a probiotic implant afterwards, which I'd never had before. Oh wow, it felt so good, within a few minutes I could really feel the difference and my bloatedness went down markedly.
She said that if your digestion is very weak and you don't take enough probiotics they don't always get to where they are needed. I do take probiotics but apparently I wasn't taking enough and I know I am a bit scatty about remembering sometimes. She said you can't overdose on them, but it is easy to underdose. The implant gets right to where they are needed.
The tube is long and scary looking, but I couldn't feel it and it was so quick I didn't realise it was already over!
So if anyone is very gassy and uncomfortable - it might be worth a consideration. It cost £12 on top of the colonic fee (£70) so not cheap, but I'm glad I had it.
