Anyone got any different suggestions to the only Nori Roll recipe I have at the moment? At the moment I'm using Karen Kknowler's Nori Roll recipe, which is a Nori wrapped up in:
avocado
tomato
onion
olives
coriander
Has anyone got any other suggestions for a recipe that uses SOME DIFFERENT ingredients to the one aobve, maybe keeping the essentials like avocado or tomoto but just having other things with it and still tasting really nice? I'm sure Allisa's one is nice but the roughage of the cauliflower wont be grreat for my digestion.
Any fillings/ recipes would be greatly appreciated!!

Well that is a good start to the nori rolls! Other ingredients I add are:
Sprouts (tons of these!!)
Juilienned green onion and carrot
Thinly sliced ginger
marinated sliced mushrooms
julienned cucumber
marinated dehydrated onions (crispy)
Spicy vegetable puree (for extra flavour)
Nut or seed pate
Avocado
Any and all greens
If I am feeling adventurous, I will make a faux "rice" out of parsnip and pine nuts, but I actually like the spicy veggie pate (or nut/seed pate) more - then I stuff it as much as possible with veggies!

i just made this...it's sooo good:
use your own portions, as i just eyeball everything:
grind up hemp seeds and sesame seeds
mix in nutritional yeast
alittle bit of spices and sea salt if you want (i used dehydrated garlic and pepper, paprika, parsley and celery)
grate some carrotts really fine
add to the mix
add some hot chili powder and some horseradish for heat
mix all together
ok then:
cut the nori sheets to size
spread out the mix on each little sheet and roll up
there you go!!! ;) mmmmmmmmmm

I have read some posters here do not like tahini--but I love it.I spread it on the nori sheet and it gives me a little glue for all the insides.I have used all the above veggies--really any veggie you have sliced thin.I want to try marinated asparagus.Sometimes I sprinkle some wasabi sauce inside or nama shoyu on top.I bought alot of tahini off amazon.com. They have so much on Amazon love their cheap shipping.
This recipe is from Ani Phyo's website. It is delicious!!! I add just a dash of nama shoyu to the pate recipe.
Almond Ginger Pate
1 Tablespoon ginger
1 clove garlic
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 cup almonds, dry
1 lemon’s juice
1/4 cup filtered water
Nori Rolls
2 sheets nori (raw)
1 batch Ginger Almond Pate
2 cups spinach
1/2 carrot, cut lengthwise
1 cup mung bean sprouts
