I was just at an asian supermarket near my house, and they have these super cute potted orange trees! It's really wintery and cold here so I'm assuming they are indoor plants?? I so want one! Does anyone have any experience with these? It's about 4 ft and growing little mini oranges! It's about $70 so it's pretty pricey. I tried to google it but I couldn't find a lot. Does anyone know what kind of temperature/lighting/watering it needs?
Thanks so much!!

Sweet? Semi-sweet in the middle with a bitter rind? How big are they? Oranges or tangerines?

Hot summer temperatures. Cool winters. Water normally. Allow to dry out a little between waterings. Their leaves fold if they're not getting enough water. Fertilize 4x year. Lots of sun. As much as you can give it. Flowering in the spring time,.

thanks FloridaPatty!
All it says on the sign is orange tree. And the biggest orange was super tiny.. maybe 3 cm in diameter.
I live on the bottom floor of a house and there's very little sun that comes in. Would it still work indoors?

Also, consider getting a plant light to give it at least 8 hours of "sinlight" a day.
If the oranges are that small, it may be a calamondon orange tree. A little sour to eat right off the tree, but I do. It's not super sweet, but not too bad if peeled. It has a LOT of orange taste, so it's good for drinks, bread, and jams. I eat it with the peel on - too lazy to peel something that small. My mouth doesn't know whether to smile at the inside wonderful orange taste or frown with the slightly bitter skin. Fun fruit. Very cold hardy too - for Florida.

I am really sure that it is a Kalamansi (Filipino spelling) or Calamansi (English Spelling) If you Google one of those you will get more information...
There is a nice photo on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calamondin
In the west it is variously known as acid orange, calamondin orange, or Panama orange, and in the Pacific Islands it is called kalamansî. Some people call it an acid orange.
We in the Philippines pick the fruit before it turns yellow/orange, while it is still green and used the juice like lemons. In fact, locally people here (central Philippines) will call it "lemonsito". They are hardy plants, but keep them from freezing. They will grow outside in most places that lemons and oranges will grow. Planted in soil they can get to be 4 meters (12 feet?) or more in height.
You can grow them in pots and the pot will stunt their growth to about 4-6 feet. I have a friend in Missouri who brings his into his house in the winter and puts it outside when there is no danger of frost.
Hope this helps...
