Hi,
What is the best nutritional with most minerals and least dehydrating raw salt to buy for the raw diet, celtic sea salt or pink hymalaion salt? I've seen both types of salts mentioned in different recipes and by different raw foodists, just not sure which one too get?

i've heard that himalayan has the most, but then again i've also heard that celtic sea salt has the most. i just recently switched to himalayan and have to say that i do like the taste better. but thats just me. try a small sample of each if you can and see if you can taste or feel a difference in yourself.

My daughter has my book of Alissa's but I'm recalling that she has a section on salt which tells about all the different types of salt....it's very interesting and helps you know what salt is best.

jascam - just looked up salt thr ough the index of the book and there was a bit about salt which i must of just forgotten about ;) but no mention on the pink himilyan salt, just the benefits and difference from celtic salt to normal, table salt. In fact i'm pretty sure allisa in all her recipes uses celtic sea salt, and no mention to pink himilyan salt, altho i know and read some raw foodists tend to go with pink himilyan salt. I think im going to go with the celtic sea salt, mainly because pink himilyan salt is the ONLY thing that this website im about to order a load of raw things from doesn't have, and providingits rawhopefully it wont matter too much, although me feeling is pink himilyan salt is the best...

I use both, but prefer the flavor of pink; to me, Celtic sea salt is a bit too salty, but I will use either.
