I don't think I inserted the link right, so you may have to cut & paste, but if you know ANYONE that still drinks pop, have them read the article below, it's quilte eye-opening! (It's not long...)

To sum it up, it's the results of a new study strongly linking the consumption of even just ONE pop a day to Metabolic Syndrome (with a link in the article to what exactly that is), which means it also increases the risk of heart disease! Wow!

At least when I break raw now, I still choose healthier foods, for the most part...my body just can't handle the garbage anymore!
I tried to have one sip of pop awhile back, & YUK! My body CLEARLY told me, "Do NOT put THAT in me!!!"
So anyway, here's the link...

Thanks for the link A! At first I was cracking up, cuz I hadn't heard anyone refer to a soda as "pop" since my family moved from Wisconsin when I was 10 years old. It really brought me back! But this is serious stuff, for sure. I sometimes let my daughter have a soda at a birthday party if there is no juice or water available (you'd be surprised!) but I think I will ix-nay the op-pay immediately and remember to bring my own backups.

I really like what you said about how your body is becoming more communicative about what it wants/doesn't want... I am finding the same thing. I used to have an "iron stomach" -- I thought nothing bothered me. But since raw I have become very sensitive to my body's feedback mechanisms, and I know within a few minutes usually of eating something whether that was a good idea or not.

Yea, I remember the days when I thought having an iron stomach was a GOOD thing!!!

I was sharing the benfits of raw with someone who was quite interested but then said, "But the reason I wouldn't do it is cuz then I couldn't handle eating the old stuff I used to eat, & sometimes I might HAVE to!" (meaning WANT to, I know now....cuz where there's a will, there's ALWAYS a way!

I'm now GLAD I can't eat like I used to!!!

I was diggin' my grave with my fork, as they say!!!
