A couple of days ago I joined this group and have learned soooo much from reading the message threads. What an amazing fountain of knowledge this group is! Thanks to all who've responded to my questions so quickly. I look forward to learning more.

Yes, I have the Alissa Cohen book and DVD.

I notice many of the recipes use nuts & seeds, something I can't have too often. While Googling for nut-/seed-free desserts and breads, I came across this forum.

Before I invest in a dehydrater, I want to be sure there are enough nut-/seed-free recipes for my beloved carbs. Yes, I love carbs :)

I'm also debating about getting an expensive Vita-Mixer after my failed attempt at making creamy cashew cheese. It was grainy despite my having soaked them - but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who experienced this problem.

So glad this forum exists!

so glad you have joined us !!! yeah... I want a vitamix too... someday! but for now - I'm still eating 'grainy nut cheese and grainy sauces...' what the heck - they still taste good -- I just ignore the lumps!!! :D ;)
