I just have to get it off my chest. I don't know how this place stays in business. I keep going back because its the least expensive raw restaurant near to us. But, I think this time was the last. We went to the one in Sherman Oaks. The lights were off and it seemed very dark in there and just not quite clean. I went into the restroom. No toilet paper, no paper towels, not even a seat cover. Ran out to grab napkins.

The staff seemed hurried and overwhelmed, like they were understaffed. Dirty plates left on tables, etc. Ordered the raw taco and a smoothie. Smoothie was fine. The raw taco was disgusting. I know they make it with sprouted beans, but I could tell the pate had been sitting around and had fermented way past being edible. Like that champagne, bubbly feeling in my mouth. Set that aside and ordered the Ceasar wrap. It would have been delicious if the romaine lettuce had not been wilted to the point of some leaves being rotten. Yuck, yuck, yuck.

Its too bad b/c its such a great concept, but very poorly executed.

I've not experienced that there but it's been awhile since I've been. May have changed management... dunno but, I'd notify the owner. Don't know if the same one owns both or if they've franchised yet, they do need to know. (whoever "they" are). Too bad. It's the only local rf place I know of in the valley.

I thought I was the only one! For some reason eating their food makes me feel cold and gross... I can't put my finger on it. I'm okay with their Green Lean Scene smoothie and the lentil soup, but other than that everything makes me feel sick.

I prefer the Culver City location. The food tastes better, and the place seems cleaner. (Last time in Sherman Oaks, I noticed clumps of dried food stuck on the water glasses.)

Every time I've gone there, I've noticed the food doesn't taste as good as in Culver City. There's also a cold, unwelcoming vibe, and I can't wait to get out. However, about 3 yrs ago it wasn't like that. Apparently it's gone downhill. Pity, cuz I'm in Sherman Oaks more often than Culver City.

From what I understand, that location especially is really struggling. And I agree wholeheartedly about the fermented/sour/rotten taste of their foods. A girl I knew applied for and got a job at the SH. Oaks location. She showed up for her first day of work on time, and there was no one in the store to let her in. She waited for over an hour past the time they'd told her before someone finally showed up. That person was someone from the office. Apparently ALL the restaurant's staff had called in sick that day. She didn't go back for a second day of work.
