Hi all,

I currently have elevated liver enzymes (AST and ALT at about 145), and the doctors have no idea why at this point. This has been going on since about the summer. I went raw the beginning of November and have been 100% since, but just recently I started having liver pain, fatigue, weight gain, and bruising on my legs. I'm hoping it's detox, but I have to say that I can't help but worry that my liver has gotten worse, even though I know it shouldn't be considering I'm being good to my body by being raw.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you who have had liver problems have success stories that you can share with me. I know Alissa's husband had amazing results from raw with his liver, but I would like more details about situations like these - if there are detox symptoms, if there are specific detox symptoms regarding the liver, if anyone has used any herbal supplements to help, how long the recovery process took, etc.

I feel pretty lost with this......I know I'm not going to get a straight answer from the medical field, and with not even knowing what's causing my liver problems, I guess I'm just trying to find any information that will shed some light on the situation.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help out....

Hi Agumble-

I have gone through four weeks of worrying over the same issue.

Mine started at a gyno appt. My doc noticed what he referred to as a mass on the right side of my abdomen, and was concerned about my orange hands. Not sure how long they have been orange. People have commented on them in the past, and I always figured it was from eating orange fruits and veggies. I really don't eat that many. He sent me immediately for blood work and a CT scan the next day. The mass turned out to be nothing.

The blook work came back with elevated liver enzymes levels. The CT came back normal, with the exception I have a fatty liver. Not sure why, I eat much better than most people. Maybe it's those previous early years of too much fried food.

My internist is also concerned about my orange hands. She sent me for an abdominal sonogram and more blood work! The sono showed nothing, and the liver enzyme levels were normal this time. She did say they could have been elevated due to a respitory infection.

I've also had a fungal nail infection since last September and now I've got a few more! I didn't mention this, but I wonder if it's connected.

So, there's not much more I can do, except wait and see if something more significant happens to me, then maybe they can figure it out. For right now, I try not to search the internet too much for symptons, as I tend to freak out and think I'm dying.

You might want to have your blood work done again. It could have been human error.

Any homeremedies for nail fungal infections out there?????
