anybody know about raw tofu? is it actually raw 100%? is it even digestable or assimilatable raw? just wondering cause I had some raw marinated tofu in a salad tonight and I have to say it tasted and felt really good, but I don't want to eat it if it's not that healthy. I know there is some controversy about non-fermented soy.

tofu is made from cooked soy beans, so it is not raw.

Opinions on tofu are varied, and you will find extremes on both sides of the argument.

In my view, if a little bit of tofu is what is helping you to stay raw, then that's fine. Just keep your commitment to raw, and everything else will follow.

All the best,
Gosia.

hey, thanks for that info, Gosia. I think I can surely live without it, but it was on the salad bar and I was thinking, "hey, RAW tofu, I can have that." but now I know-NOT raw. Thanks!

OH they ment un re-cooked tofu ,not truly raw - tempeh is a fermented living soy product ,it can be turned into "fakin bacon" with raw bbq sauce and dehydration ,and its living! My opinions are - its too early to tell ,and i beleive a lil bit o' tofu couldnt hurt the average beef eating american, but there are less questionable alternatives out there !
