Kalamata Olives????.........

...Are they Raw? my grocery sells them bulk in bins...so not in cans/jars.....anybody know??????................:rolleyes:

I also wondered this. The ones at my HFS say "oil cured".

I get them and eat them.
I feel they are not truly raw.
I don't think the olive was cooked.
and certainly no heat was used in preserving them.
but the oil/vingear used to marinate them is most likely not cold pressed oil and apple cider vinegar.
but I get them anyway.
I love them.
to me, it's just one of those items in the gray area . . . like agave, honey, raw cashews, frozen fruits . . .
very questionable.

Me too, exactly like Garlic. Yum, couldn't live without them.

ahhh, what I had thought...that they were in that "gray area", but I love em....will likely leave them out this month since I am doing they challenge...will try to find real Raw olives! Thank you all for your replies! :D
