HI! My name is Jamie and I am 28, and a SAHM to 2 littles. A 6 y.o. boy and 2 y.o. girl.

I was first introduce to the raw lifestyle after moving to the South believe it or not, by my children's pediatrician. Another shocker!

I kinda did it for awhile, but just got out of it.

Then last year, I contracted Lyme disease and I started to change my diet. I truly ate really well, just didn't realize the importance of foods being raw. So, now I am here, to learn from everyone. I have 2 small children and they mean everything to me and I want to teach them the value of this lifestyle so that they can take it with them when they grow up. On top of that, I want to heal.

That is it in a nutshell. I already have a greenstar juicer, a dehydrator, kitchenaid food processor...I am on my way!!!

Welcome Jamie,

Nice having you with us - think about buying Alissa's book to add to your raw food equipment - lots of great recipes!

Good luck and remember to take things slowly---at the pace that is best for you. Gradual changes, statistically, are those that we are most likely to keep. You may even have some luck converting the kids if you do it carefully enough and your partner isn't opposed to the idea.
