I hope someone can clear something up for me. As I understand it, the idea of a green smoothie is to make a nutrient-dense, easily-digested, greens-filled meal. Does adding flax, hemp, tahini, nuts, coconut oil, cacao, or pollen, etc. slow or mess with the body's digestion and movement of the greens and fruit? I love the idea of adding as many nutrients and fibers to my GS as possible but I don't want to negate the benefits of the greens. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

While you're at it, throw in some kelp powder!

I put the supplements into my green smoothies, but not a juice if I make green juice. I don't think the supplements interfere with absorption especially if you are using the natural ones, like hemp seeds, flax seeds and bee pollen. They are in a form that the body can digest, so there isn't any issue with interference. (this is what I have gathered from the books I am reading) I am new to raw and have seen lots of opinions on this topic. But those mainly deal with do you really need the supplements in the first place.

I think you could add 2-3 of the supplements, but all might be a bit too much. Know what I'm sayin? I use the cacao and coconut oil for major energy needs like a long workout.
