Dates - How long?

How long do dates last in the fridge? I've had a couple in containers in the refrigerator for a couple of months, I hate to waste them, but don't know how to tell if they've gone bad. I'd also like to know for future reference.

i forgot where i just read this, but i want to say it was about 6 months in the refrigerator and a year in the freezer. i don't know how to tell if they've gone bad though, i guess you could try taste, but i really don't know. good luck

Have you ever made pecan pie?
Remove pit, insert pecan, eat, enjoy.
OMG soooo good!

Your dates will be gone in about 2 seconds with the pecan pies! :rolleyes:
