Question about Alyssa's Key Lime Pie Recipe

in that recipe it calls for "3 whole limes".
does that mean not juiced, but the whole thing?
peel and all, or peeled first?

I've never made it, but I think it means peeled (and de-seeded) but not juiced. I know some of her recipes ask for the juice of a lemon and some ask for lemon (whole) but I always peel and remove the seeds even if it's not specified to do so.

I made this pie once, and just peeled 3 limes and popped them in the FP whole, seeds and all. It was very smooth and delish! I also used actual key limes, which made the pie rather tart.
