Hello! I am attempting to change my life as we speak! lol My name is Andrea and I am so thankful that I can journal here. I have always tried the blogging thing but always ended up blogging/journaling about how bad I felt...and come to realize it was the food...I am such a candidate for this life style...as I have spent the past 30+ years dealing with depression, adult acne, low thyroid, circulatory troubles, digestive struggles, and did I mention adult acne.... I am so sick of that! So my hope is to change for the better ... so I need as much support as possible...I also have 3 kiddos that think I am on a "diet"...and correcting them all the time retorting "no...HEALTHY CHOICES"......

I am such a baby at this...learning as I go and trying to take in as much as possible. I am about to run to 1/2 price to check out thier book selection and just go from there...I can sit in front of the computer for so long...and potty train a three year old too...not easy!!!

thanks for listening!

What a great role model you are for your children, Andrea. A warm welcome to this group of health conscious rawfooders. You will get lots of support here so take full advantage of it. I am quite new here too. Speaking of example - my daughter once said "it wasn't so much what you said - I watched what you did".

Aloha and Welcome to RFT Andrea!! No worries girl - we're all learning - so it's great cuz we get to learn together! You've got a great support team here. If you can - get Alissa's book -- by far the best tool you could ever have to help you transition to this healthy vibrant lifestyle. For me - it was the best tool I gave myself on this journey. :D

rawk on.... and enjoy the ride -- btw - it was great to see you blogging in the journaling section... :D

I always considered the day a child was potty trained to be a day to be celebrated....not to mention it was also like getting a pay raise. (no diapers) Definately get Alissa's book, I'm sure you'll love it and your kids won't think your on a diet when they see the wonderful desserts you'll be fixing. LOL, Judith:)

islesgirl...I got goose bumps with your last quote...wow! I will be blogging about it in a second but I took my daughter to the book store with me and I was explaning how serious the change of habits will be....she understood it when I likened it to gas in a car...she says "OH! We won't run well if we don't have the right gas...and by gas you mean food right?" YES!!!! she is awesome...and we discovered fruit leathers...all three had one for "dessert" last night...and loved them! yay!
Thank you...to all of you who replied or just read....I don't think I can do this by myself...even with a supportive family it is still so hard when we are so used to eating so terrible. coming here makes my step so much easier!
