so after a series of 3 successful colonics 2 weeks ago, i feel like i haven't been, uh, pooping like normal. it's incredibly frusterating. it's just small bm's. i feel stuck. i eat a lot of fruits, a huge green smoothie every day, and a giant salad with tahini dressing. i also drink tons of water and work out for 30-60 minutes. i ate a POUND of dates saturday, and took cascara segrada out of desperation last night...but nothing. it sucks. anyone else experienced this? is it just my body ajusting? i did had a couple binge/purge episodes on cooked food last weekend and the one before...perhaps this is the culprit? it's like i'm clogged w/ 5 pounds of...well, crap. thanks.

ps been mostly raw since october (90%) and 99% all month. 100% most days.

The colon is like the layers of an onion. You peel away one and there is another one. Who knows what's stopping you. If you've had successful colonics(meaning something came out), then it could be just another layer you've reached. could be from something you ate a year ago! You don't know, you just can't be sure. Try twisting in your work out routine. Try belly breathing. All of these things help to massage colon. be well:)

These are the 3 things that usually help me: eating an apple or eating a couple of carrots or Dr. Christophers Quick Colon formula. Hope you get feeling better.:)

I would suggest you go to www.herbdoc.com and try Dr. Schulze's Formula Number One. It is a great product to have on hand for times when you just can't go. If you take it with your evening meal you should be moving by morning.

When you go to the bathroom, do you sit on the toilet or SQUAT on the toilet??? Sometimes, that can help immensely! See this link (it's not gross) for a helpful picture: http://naturesplatform.com/health_benefits.html

Just a thought! When I am feeling even a touch constipated (since raw it's never been more than a touch), I squat when going to the bathroom and it's like magic.

Good luck. :) :D

I just went to the web site you posted and learned a great deal about eliminating my bowels:)
I was sitting with a stool at my toilet with my feet up thinking that would do the job but i found out that wasn't enough, so now i just squat over the toilet with the lid up and my bowel evacurate soon after.
It's quick and easy, it takes a little strength to stay that way but it will get easier the more i do it.
I don't have to sit for 10 minutes in the old position, i like it much better, go and get on with my life:D
Thanks again, now to get my hubby to do it.
B.

Are you supposed to put your feet up on the toilet seat?

Wow - thanks, Eva! I'm also not sure quite how it would work in a modern-day bathroom, but ... definitely impressive stuff, and worth a try!! (somehow ...)

Stacyface - hope you're feeling much better now.

Love

Do you have a history of laxitive abuse?

For me, not being able to poop is a mental thing. I have a history of constipation, and I would get so frustrated with it, that I think it made the problem worse. Whenever, I relax and meditate first thing in the morning, I get the urge to go and then usually have to cut my meditation short :-)

Also, I think I have many layers to get rid of too. I did 13 colonics in three weeks and I feel like it only scratched the surface. Right now, I'm doing Dr. Natura's Colonix cleanse for parasites and bowel cleansing. I go a lot everyday while on the cleanse and I think my bloating is lessening (after 3.5 weeks on the cleanse).
