I just had to share something wonderful... I joined a new gym a couple weeks ago. It's super fancy and expensive but I get a great discount since I'm a student! Anyway, if you're a member, they give you a free physical examination...they test fat, flexibility, endurance, heart rate, and all that stuff. Then according to my tests, they gave me a fitness evaluation and a fitness program that I am to follow for six weeks. For two weeks I've been following the plan. I do cardio 3-4 days a week and a strict weight lifting regime 2 times a week. Plus I'ave been doing yoga at least once a week. I just have to say that my entire outlook has dramatically improved. I have far more energy, feel even more clear minded that with just raw, and am just happier and more confident (of course). I actually sweat while working out!! This is new for me. And I already see more tone in my body. I lost 30 pounds while raw but since I didn't exercise, I have all this awkward skin hanging off my arms and legs. The workouts are really helping to tone me up. Anyone who wants tone, I'd recommend a similar workout program. It is working wonders and it's amazing!!

that is so wonderful! keep on with your bad self! i think at least as important as the obvious physical benefits are the emotional benefits that a regular workout provides. it really does give you a better outlook on life.

that's great! i always find weight training gives me boost. and i'm a bit biased about the yoga (haha) - i love my gym - i look on going like a spa day. if they have a steam room or sauna, that feels awesome too.

i'm originally from indiana (columbus) - always a midwestern girl at heart!

That's awesome! Good for you! I recently started weight lifting and doing cardio again myself (I used to be fairly fit- was an amateur boxer for a few years, but never watched my diet enough to get "toned". I was more bulky than anything). Its amazing how quickly the results happen. I just started last monday with the Body for Life program (similar to what you are doing), and last night I am already seeing more definition in my upper body.

The cool thing is, when you are raw to boot, since the diet is taken care of the workout is that much more effective. In the past I'd go back to working out, but because my diet was bad/heavy cooked carbs, I never saw results like I wanted to and would end up quitting even if I was getting stronger. It really helps to *see* the changes taking place!

I hope to hear more of your progress! Since we started at the same time we can be motivational raw workout buddies I hope!! take care :)
