your flax crackers? I've always kept them in an airtight container on the counter, but I was reading a recipe that said to store in the fridge. I prefer my crackers at room temp, will they spoil on the countertop?

We just keep ours inside an airtight container outside of the fridge. We've never had an issue. As long as the crackers are completely dehydrated, they should be fine stored that way.

For things like breads, burgers and other partially dehydrated items, I would store those in the fridge.

I have not had a problem not in the fridge but I do live in a cool climate. I also store with a paper towel inside.:)

I think whoever suggested that was probably considering the oils?? Could they become rancid or stale?

Either way has worked for me, but I tend to use my dehydrator more often in the cold season and the house that I live in is drafty, so it's almost like refridgeration...

hm....

Good question,
