Google is my friend:

http://www.brewerylane.com/champagne.htm

I really like the parts about sugar, yeast and alcohol.

anything that puts undue stress on the bodies organs (i.e. the liver) or the body has to detox from is not compatible with the SPIRIT of the raw lifestyle, regardless of whether it is "technically" raw or not...

if optimum health is your goal, you're better off eating a steamed sweet potato than drinking a glass of "raw" alcohol. again, that's just my opinion...

Champagne is not drunk everyday. Alcohol for holidays, most likely this person is asking it since Valentines is coming up....just for a special occassion treat.

And sorry, drinking freshly squeezed apple juice ain't romantic. :D

My feeling is, losing any kind of perception and putting poison (alcohol) into my body, isn't "romantic" or a "treat"...

A fresh, cold glass of shared freshly made apple juice or the juice of a mango absolutely is.

But that's off-topic, isn't it?
