Before & After (Work in Progress)

I know how much you folks love before and after pictures, so here you are. I went raw on 19th August 2007 at 224 pounds, and I'm currently 175 pounds. I'd like to be about 150 pounds, and at this rate it won't take much longer. Before raw I'd tried almost everything: calorie restriction, the Cambridge Diet, hypnotherapy, exercise. Never low carb, because I've been a strict ethical vegan for many years, and the two don't go together. Weight loss is only one of the benefits I've had: I used to suffer from regular flu, chest pains, hip, elbow and knee joint pains, indigestion, all of which are gone. I need far less sleep, and wake up much more easily.

Rasiaca (Anna Banana) this has been second time around for me. I originally went raw back in September 2006. I immediately felt much better, but soon forgot how bad I used to feel most of the time. The stress of an exam after six weeks was what did it for me (I'm studying part time for a music degree). After the exam I foolishly "rewarded" myself with a curry, meaning to go straight back to raw, but social and family pressures also played a part, and before I knew where I was, I was back to 100% cooked.

All the good work I had done over the six weeks was reversed, and it took me almost a year to get back on track. Now, I reward myself with green smoothies!
