Hey my name is Diane im 20 years old im 5'9 maybe 150lbs . Im wanting to start a fast on febuary 1st and go for about 21 days maybe longer. My goal is to loose wieght, detox my body and begin to have a healthier life. Im also doing this for spiritual reasons as well. I was thinking about doing a green tea fast an just drink that an water during the 21 days. I havent really found alot of info on ne thing about someone doing a green tea fast. I dont really see why cause Ive read alot about green tea an what it does for u. Increases ur matabolism has alot of anitoxidents an so on. I would do the juice fast but im in south korea with my husband hes with the military. Anyways theres not alot of fresh fruits an veggies to choose from an I dotn have a juicer or a blender an I havent seen one here to buy either. Im going back home march 2nd and im wanting to look good. I plan on working out an taking care of myself alot better during and after the fast. Right now I dont eat healthy at all I cant stand the taste of fruits or vegtables. Im really wanting to change that. So will a green tea fast be good for me? How much weight should I expect to loose? Once I loose the weight im gonna try my hardest not to gain it back. Ne advice or info will be greatly appreciated thanks and take care. Happy fasting to all the fasters out there.

Technically a "fast" is really done with pure water. For lack of a better word, people are calling all kinds of other things they are doing "fasts".
I've never heard of someone doing a green tea fast yet, from what one reads about green tea, I can understand your suggestion.
Consider this... you're looking to detox. One of the best ways to do that is through eating/drinking fruit and/or juice. I'm wondering what it is about fruit that you don't like it? Possibly a corruption of the taste buds?
Sorry to say, drinking green tea will only keep that going. It's got caffeine. It's an addictive substance.
Not knowing S. Korea, I really can't help you with what TO do; only suggest you not do a "fast" with something that contains caffeine. (even de-caf is bad because of the way it's processed).

I do not think that you would be getting much nutrition just from Green Tea. I know that people survive on water for that long but any of the sites that put up info on fasting say that you can not go straight in to a water fast of that duration as our bodies are too toxic to handle it.
They suggest juice fasts to start and then short duration water fasts leading on to longer ones.
I think that you should wait and do it correctly if you can
