We met some friends at The Raw Food Underground Restaurant tonight. (West Palm Beach, FL)

So excited about this place! Met the fantastic raw Chef and the really great waitperson. ITs so great to have this here! I just zipped in for a quick lemon cheese cake (OMG,so good!) and a menu that I will be drooling over for the next week until i can get there for a full meal.Many , many choices from gourmet delicacies, pizza, sweets..a really nice atmosphere and its all raw!

Care4, when did you go? We were there tonight around 5-6 ish. I know...Extremely happy to have a raw restaurant in South Florida! YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE!!!!!!! I only wish it was a little closer to Fort Lauderdale, but we won't let a little 45 minute drive stop us!!! ( :

Oh, and we also tried the lemon cheesecake, salad, soup, etc... I posted more photos on my blog if you want to see them.

But that chocolate thing was DA BOMB!!!! (I know, I know...no one says that anymore - but I'm in a chocolate coma!!!)

Sooo yeah, i was there later than you (too bad). i just zipped in close to closing. I re-read your post after i posted and saw how many things you photographed. I think i'll just drool over your photos and forget the menu!Thats so good you did that. i want to give this place as much exposure as poss too, what a jewel!

You wish it was closer to FT Laurderdale? i wish it was closer to Boca, lol. You have Sublime, Hippocrates and someone mentioned Soma(?) to me tonight.i think there's more too? . As far as i know Boca has nooothing!

You should take photos the next time you go because mine didn't come out so hot. Kind of dark & murky... And yes the lemon sauce on the cheesecake was so good! So was the coconut pie, and the tacos, and...

How were the prices? How far is it from Hippocrates? How healthy do you feel it is. Is it geared for transitioning raw foodies or serious, but like a little danger once in awhile foodies? Was the alfredo sauce cashews or what? Can all my Q's be answered if I just look in the restaurant ratings section? Thanks for gettin all my attention.:)

Ok, I'll try my best to answer. The prices I thought were great. They have a pre fixe menu so for appetizer, meal & dessert it's $25. Which I found very reasonable. (especially in Palm Beach!) I think it is very healthy, but I don't buy into the whole "I only eat sprouts & have to be miserable" mentality of raw. If I couldn't have a nice chocolate dessert, I wouldn't be on it long.

The alfredo was light and not heavy and sticky like others I've tried & had a nice taste. So I'm not sure how it was prepared but I liked their version much better than anything else I've sampled. And their pizza crust was nice and crunchy which I liked, but the guy who ordered it would have preferred soft.

They are located just west of Military trail on Okeechobee if that helps you pinpoint them. I've only been to Hippocrates once and drove all over the place trying to find it. (It's really tucked away in a remote neighborhood):confused:

They are only open Friday-Sunday. Personally, I'd love to go back tonight!!!
It was really yummy! The tacos were SOOOOOOOO good!

Just wanted all the Florida peeps to know I started a meetup called 123RAW Foodies / South Florida. We're having our first meetup at the Raw Food Underground this weekend! Woo-hoo!!!

This event is booked up but we'll be going to SOMA next.
