NO...Vegetarians can consume cheese, eggs and even some eat chicken and fish. They often eat LOTs of sugar and cooked food. Being RAW you consume a Plant Based way of eating. NO meat......NO dairy.....NO sugar. RAW eating consist of RAW Grain, RAW Nuts, Sprouts, RAW Fruit and Vegetables. Hope I answered your question to your satisfaction.......

Yes well there are some who consume raw meats and fish and also raw dairy. I for exemple very occasionally indulge in raw cheese. But for the purposes of this board it is a VEGAN (meaning no animal products whatsoever) RAW (meaning nothing cooked over 118 degrees F) message board.

Welcome along!! There are some really great people here as well as fantastic recipes!

I think the main difference between raw foodists and vegetarians is that most vegetarians eat their food cooked. Not all, of course, but for the most part they do. Raw foodists, on the other hand, not only adhere(al least for the most part) to veggies, but sprout their grains instead of cooking them and consume only raw foods.(of course, once again depending on what program they've decided is best for them)
I personally love this forum not only because of the great support, but also the absolutely fabulous raw recipes!
Hope this helps & God bless.
