Has anyone donated blood with ill effects? I am still a little on the thin side but have always given in the past and another drive at our synogogue is coming up.

I donated blood yesterday. 30 days raw, with no ill effects. I was sure to have plenty of liquids before I went. Had a bottle of water during. FASTEST draw ever. Have no idea if that has anything to do with it or not, but it was good...

As a side note - my blood pressure (while not usually high) was lower than ever.

You should be fine. Take a snack for afterwards. And some good liquids to drink afterwards include coconut water and green juice.

Totally agree to hydrate as much as possible prior to donating. I have only donated twice; both times I felt very drained for about a week. My blood type is not common so I get many calls to donate. I will watch this thread for other people's experiences.

Because i have a low blood pressure, i cannot donate any blood. Now being on raw food, i would be curious if i could now. I was thinking of this the other day.
